    This makes my mouth water for fresh figs! That is one luxury we really don’t have access to here – the ones we can get are pumped full of sulfites to keep them fresh and they lose their Med sea freshly picked flavour!

      This variety of white figs is very common here and not at all valuable, but getting into the garden, pick up some of them for dinner (try them with pecorino cheese flakes), has no price!

        Mmmmm… and you’re right – there is nothing like going out and gathering something freshly produced for a meal. Yum!
